The House

You are staying in your own fully equipped quarters, in traditional comfort, among our family heirlooms, in peaceful solitude or with friends and family in the old village, which is located 15km east of Montélimar.

Choose 'La Petite Maison' with 3 bedrooms (accommodation for 6), a salon and 2 bathrooms with shower, sink and toilet. From the fully equipped eat-in kitchen guests walk onto a private terrace to enjoy the view over the valley and village roofs and delight in spectacular sunsets.

Opt for the 'Sunflower Residence', which is particularly suited for a family with a child or a couple. An optional bedroom, 'La Magnanerie', is available for a second couple. It has its own powder-room and an old-fashioned claw foot bathtub. From the sitting-room guests step onto a private terrace with a beautiful view towards the Ardeche mountains. The bathroom has a large shower, sink and toilet. You can enjoy a fully equipped eat-in kitchen.

Consider the 'atelier', with it's spacious bright bedroom/sitting room, a large dining-room and a fully equipped kitchen, three-piece bathroom, a sunny courtyard and a covered private terrace with a beautiful view.

Rates: We rent by the week and rates vary from 1100 to $1800 (Canadian), a meal upon your arrival is included, so is all bedding, towels and weekly clean-up..

Shopping: For the food lover,colorful markets offer local produce, cheeses, cured meats, fish, fresh country breads... Fill your basket with honey, picodons, virgin olive oil, vine ripened tomatoes, garlic braids... from local farmers. Buy herbes de Provence, lavender essence or nougat made the traditional way.

From the fresh local ingredients you can create your own gourmet meal or indulge in the hospitality of the many restaurants in the area from rustic to world famous.

The wines of Hermitage, Châteauneuf du Pape, Tavel, Vacqueras, Gigondas, to name just a few, are a short distance away. Enjoy winetastings at your leisure.

Entertainment and Sightseeing:

Nature's palette of lavender, sunflowers and poppies are of exceptional beauty in season. The creative arts are a feast for the eyes. Visit the ateliers and shops of the potters, painters, glass blowers, silversmiths, woodcarvers or silk painters.

For refreshing physical activity, play tennis, golf or boules, swim, hike, go horseback riding, bicycle or just walk the cobble stoned lane ways of our medieval villages.

Enjoy the rich cultural life of the area, art galleries, concerts, festivals, special events. Visit monuments of 2000 years of civilization, châteaux, castles, museums, Roman ruins, churches, monasteries...
