Why not book a stay at Crannóg, our recently restored country house, surrounded by pastures and meadows, close to the small village of Meulles between Orbec and Vimoutiers in the Pays d’Auge region of Calvados.On arrival you will be greeted by your hosts Resa and Leo and welcomed with a refreshing drink. Their love of music (Leo being a professional guitarist) classical, jazz, country, flamenco to mention a few can sometimes be heard in the evenings with various artistes.
The area is famous for Cider, Calvados and Cheese of which the village of the famous cheese Camembert is close by. Many of the World War II battle sites are within easy reach.
There are lots of activities available and things to do in the area, including: Fishing, cycling, walking, horse riding, golf, many museums to visit, zoo, markets to name but a few and of course wonderful reasonably priced restaurants to tempt your palate.
We are well placed for trips to the beach (1 hour drive).
Deauville and Trouville can be reached by car within 1 hour.
Paris by car 2-2½ hours or drive to Bernay 20 min. away and have a stress free journey by train to St. Lazare (Paris) station 1½ hours.
Trains are very frequent and run late into the night.
Lisieux is 25 min. drive and renowned for its magnificent basilica dedicated to St.Therese.
The town of Giverny made famous by the painter Monet is approx. 1½ hours drive.

The dining room where you will be served a full breakfast has been restored in keeping with the era of the house (1830’s), with its large red brick faced open fireplace, original tiled floor and large oak farmhouse dining table.
If preferred, breakfast can be served on the terrace.
The timber beam bedrooms are very comfortable offering beautiful country views. Tea and coffee making facilities in each room.
