"La Mazade" near Nîmes

Bed & Breakfast on the Garden side

La Mazade is a delightful XIXe century house set in an attractive park and conveniently located on a quiet street in the small village of Saint-Mamert (14 km from Nîmes). Typical rural Provençal village bordered by vineyards and "garrigue", minutes away from all corners of Provence: Nîmes, Arles, Beaucaire, Les Baux, St.Remy, la Camargue and the sandy Mediterranean beaches.

The decor of this B&B is quite unique. You will find a harmonious combination of modern and antique furniture. Sculptures and paintings are scattered throughout the house and guestrooms. Contemporary artwork will exite anyone's curiosity.

Over the years, a stream of writers, poets and artists have chosen this property because of its informal and friendly atmosphere. It is a vibrant place where magazines, music and books abound.

Guestrooms are bright and airy overlooking the garden. They are well-appointed with all modern comfort and with private en suite shower rooms. A child's bed is available on request.

Gite in the Courtyard

The gîte is an independent dwelling (35 sqm) renovated with much charm. It is bright and airy and opens onto a large courtyard. It comprises an open area kitchenette/dining/living room with a single sofa bed. A washing machine is available in the adjacent building.

The bedroom consists of a good quality double bed, a library, antique armoire, chairs and T.V. A window overlooks the garden.

The bathroom is superb in design and originality, featuring a lovely 'bac', creation of Pierre Baey.

The courtyard features a small vegetable garden, exotic plants and mature trees for shade. Garden furniture includes table and chairs, lounge chairs, and a charcoal barbecue for outdoor meals. The gite is also heated for out-of-season renting. There is separate parking area on the property.

Gîte rates per week (all included): 350 Euros
