"La Guillone"

Situated in the XVIIIe century bastide of Murs, 5 km from Gordes, la Guillone, a haven of peace, is the ideal place for unforgettable visits to the Luberon. You will be under the charm of the convivial and warm atmosphere of the provençal life...

La Guillone has been restored to provide 2 spacious guestrooms and one large suite. They are located in the ancient "bergerie" or sheepfold annex and are appointed in absolute comfort. Guests can relax on the terrace and in the garden. For longer stays (4 nights minimum), a well equipped kitchen, the dining room and living room are at the disposal of our guests. There is private parking on the property.

Breakfast (jams home-made, viennoiseries, fruits of season, honey from our beehives...) will be served during the nice season on our terrace, under the arbour, with panoramic views over Luberon.

    The Region

    There are open-air markets every day of the week somewhere nearby with local produce and harvests of the season. Sports and cultural activities abound and are listed in the tourist offices.

    World renown festivals and festivities are organised in Provence through spring and summer at Avignon, Orange, Arles, Nimes and Aix en Provence.

    How to get there:

    Gordes is 40 min from Avignon, 2h40 from Paris with the TGV and one hour from the capital by plane, 50 min from the Marseille-Provence airport in Marignane and two hours from Nice and the Cote d’Azur.

    In the village center of Gordes, take route D 15 direction Murs. After 5 km, you will find on your left a large panel "Maison d’Hôtes La Guillone". Take this track.

    In the Luberon, eating and drinking are part of life’s greatest pleasures. Your hosts are most amiable and will be delighted to help you plan visits to the wonderful villages of the hinterland and recommend many typical and original restaurants in their area.
