"La Cantemerle" is an authentic "Grande Demeure" of the Haut-Médoc peninsula. Charming and warm, this beautiful Moorish-style residence lies at the edge of the forest in the historical village of Vertheuil, with its own ancient castle, a roman church and an abbaye. A wine lovers' paradise, a few minutes away from the prestigious vineyards of St.Estèphe, Pauillac, St.Julien, Listrac, Moulis and Margaux.

"La Cantemerle" also boasts its own small vineyard on the property.

The Atlantic seashore and its endless sandy beaches is 20 minutes away. It is 45km from Bordeaux and its beautiful monuments and lovely public squares (various activities, visits and excursions are arranged by the Bordeaux tourist office). Bordeaux-Mérignac International Airport is 50km away.

Michèle, a former journalist, has lived on all five continents of the world. Her numerous "objets d'art" and paintings collected on her travels will exite anyone's curiosity. She welcomes you as friends and you will feel right at home in her superb residence: a peaceful oasis after a busy day. Guests can enjoy the living room and the library or relax on the terraces.
